大阪南地 富田屋八千代
Yachiyo of Tomitaya, Nanchi
Twisting slightly in a dark kimono with a bold pattern, she looks off to the right. Ornaments are set in her upswept hair.
About this photo
Large patterns are scattered across the dark ground of her kimono as she turns a little at the waist and looks to the right. Her hair is swept up and decorated with ornaments, and at the lower right something like a stand peeks into the frame. The name under the photo reads "Osaka Nanchi, Tomitaya Yachiyo." The caption prints Osaka as 大坂, an older way of writing the name now written 大阪.
It is a tall, narrow photo, and her figure fills it from top to bottom. A little plain background shows above her head, while the pattern of the dark kimono spreads over the lower half.
